Mummy actress Elizabeth Weber, best known for her role in films such as ‘The Dark Knight’ and ‘The Mummy’, is making waves in the LGBT community.
In an interview with The Hindu on Thursday, Weber said she had made the announcement because of her work as a feminist in Hollywood, which she feels is not representative of the LGBT world.
“I’m in my 40s now and I feel that [LGBT rights] are not being given equal weight in Hollywood,” she said.
Weber said she felt that the Hollywood community does not know how to celebrate bisexual people.
“The industry is not in the position to know what’s really going on,” she added.
In a statement to The Hindu, Weber also addressed her controversial sexuality in the media, saying she had always been honest about who she was and where she came from.
“As I was growing up, my identity was not as defined by my gender, but by my love of music, acting and writing,” she wrote.
“This is why I feel the need to speak out about the way I identify as a bisexual woman, who is also a performer and writer.”
These are the stories that matter.
I feel it is my duty to share this information with the world.
“Weber was the subject of criticism for a recent Instagram post in which she shared a picture of herself with a man.”
My sexuality was never a secret, it was a part of who I was, but it was always a secret to my parents and a secret that I shared with no one but my husband and children,” she later wrote.
She also told The Hindu that she felt “more comfortable” in the public eye than she ever had before.”
I want to be seen and be known as a part.””
I am very proud to be a part.
I want to be seen and be known as a part.”
Weberman, who also appeared in the films ‘The Big Short’ and the upcoming ‘Lucky,’ is one of the highest-paid female actors in Hollywood.
She was nominated for an Oscar for her performance in ‘The Maze Runner’ in 2013.
